ASCPaLM|Asian Society for Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

President Remark for ASCPaLM 2023

The Asian Society for Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (ASCPaLM), the premier global diagnostic professional society founded in 1975, has made a significant contribution to promoting improvement of the health and well-being by improving the development and practice of laboratory medicine (clinical pathology), through communication, cooperation in education, research and practice.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our members have made great contributions in combating the disease by providing accurate and timely SARS-CoV-2 testing. While the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic has eased, the surge in healthcare demands continues to challenge us in this so-called post-pandemic era. These all evidence the importance of laboratory medicine in patient care.

I am sure that ASCPaLM will play a much more important role in the future. This will be achieved through the collaboration among members of participating societies and the coordination of the executive board and council members. More opportunities to share our experiences and knowledge to each other would be expected and, of course, also to all communities in the world. At last, I would like to express heartfelt thanks to all the clinical pathologist and laboratory experts for enthusiastic support to the ASCPaLM.

Best regards to all distinguished members and your families.
